School Council
Our School Council is represented by two children from each class, voted in by their peers. Year Six children fill the roles of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
The School Council meet with Mrs Wilcox at least once every half term and, amongst other things, are involved with the design and implementation of school projects and initiatives linked to health, wellbeing and the support of local causes and charities. Previous events organised by the School Council include our PJ Day which raised funds for children in Africa, our Mufti Day which raised funds for our school garden and our chickens. Most recently, the school council suggested and organised the ‘grow your pound’ venture. This involved all children taking home a pound and using their entrepreneurial skills to make more money with it. It was an extremely successful suggestion raising in excess of £4000 which will purchase new books for our brand new library.
